Joined this practice 3 years ago. Sadly my experience has been nothing short of negative. The appointment system is geared to block you every step of the way and a face to face appointment is not ever considered. Should you miraculously get a phone call, requests for help or reviews are pretty much refused. If you walk into the surgery it is deserted, not one patient in sight. A great contrast from the caring attitude some of my friends are getting in other areas.

I have now been trying for three days to get a GP appointment. Have called every day from 0755 to get the phones as soon as they open, this is just a race and very stressful when unwell. Another way of accessing is needed to support your patients. Appointments today all full by 08.07! Appointments should have some option to book in advance to help your load.

Took a few attempts to get an appointment but was then was referred for medical photography the same day, seen within a week and issue resolved , excellent service

We swapped to Binfield practice following a house move and my experiences with the practice have been exceptional. From registering with the practice, organising blood tests, and having consultations, every single person I have spoken to has taken time to answer my questions or deal with my queries with care, kindness and without hurry. This is in stark contrast to the other doctor practices I have been with in the last 10 years. Wherever you train your administration staff should be compulsory for all surgeries, or perhaps you just have amazing staff from the admin team to the doctors. On a final note, yes, it would be lovely to be able to get an appointment after a 5 minute wait whenever I want to see a doctor, but I have never experienced a system that works this way. So, I will keep holding, knowing that when my call is answered I will be speaking to a lovely person who genuinely wants to help. My thanks to all at Binfield Practice for making us feel so welcome.

I recently had my 6 week “mum & baby” post natal check & have to say it wasn’t good at all. Firstly, the doctor checked my son but missed the hip & head check so I had to get him back out of his car seat twice. When it came to my welfare I was asked bluntly how my mental health was & if I needed contraception without looking at me whilst asking the questions. I felt so uncomfortable with him I didn’t really know how to respond. I wanted to talk about my mental health in further detail but didn’t feel as though I could open up. When looking on the checklist they are supposed to go through on the NHS website, I wasn’t asked anything else or checked upon which has left me feeling a bit let down. The practise otherwise has always been accommodating when needed for appts & when my daughter has been unwell.

After receiving an appointment 2 hours after the morning I called, the doctors at Binfield Surgery uncovered a more potentially sinister issue. I was extremely emotional but the doctors took extra time to talk me to ensure I understood exactly what was going to happen and reassure me that they would look after me. They also checked if there were any other issues that were upsetting me. Talking really helped get things off my chest and they were more than happy to take the time to listen. They have looked after my 2 young boys since we joined the surgery and have gone over and above what we “think” a GP practice does offer. I cannot thank them enough for looking after me and my family in the most caring and experienced/professional way to get the treatment we all needed as soon as possible. They do so much more than assess the illness and provide the appropriate prescription, they listen and help. Thank you Binfield Surgery.

I have supported this surgery for 17 years now but getting appointments is sometimes impossible despite one of the GPs assuring me everyone who phones after 8am can get a same day appointment. This morning I was on the phone from 8.01 until finally at almost 9am told I was No 1 in the queue and answered only to be told there were no appointments left as shortage of doctors. What a waste of an hour and very distressing. Told to phone again tomorrow but I shan't waste my time and will just get on with it. When is this surgery going to catch up with others who I hear, can book online??? So disappointed.

Thank you for your feedback. We had a new telephone system installed in the Practice last week and have been experiencing a few technical problems while we configure this to best suit the Practice and our patients. We have taken on board patient feedback, and have altered the system slightly, working within the barriers allowed. Hopefully these changes will give patients a better experience from hereon. Rang on a Monday in January to obtain a referral letter to arrange for private carpal tunnel syndrome surgery. The doctor I spoke to, asked me to visit Binfield Surgery, on Wednesday to discuss the request. At the consultation he recommended I had injections first before surgery, which I agreed to. He gave me the injections there and then. As a result I have not had to have surgery. The condition has improved progressively, as he said would be the case.

Firstly I have been a patient in this surgery since I was in infancy school. So for almost 35 years. During that time the surgery has always provided me with amazing care and have always offered me the support I need no matter what the issue or problem. I have recorded a chain of events which extend over a 36 hour window. 8am / 19th December - I Called at 8am to book an appointment. I was unable to get through but accept they are busy so decided to wait and try once the lines are less congested. 10:30am / 19th December - I called again and managed to speak to a receptionist who said to go online and use clinic services to get an appointment for the following day. I did this and received a notification via text message to confirm this had been received. 8am / 20th December - I managed to get through and spoke to one of the reception team again. I confirmed my details and said I had registered via the clinic services as advised. I was confirmed to be in Doctors call list for the day. 1:30pm / 20th - I had not received a call by this time and understandably was very concerned so called and spoke to another receptionist yet again. My appointment was found but confirmed for Friday. I questioned this as that was not what was agreed on my earlier call. It was then advised an error had occurred as someone else with the same name as me was on the system. I was then assured I would be getting a call. 5pm / 20th - Still no call and I am now growing increasingly concerned. I picked up the phone once more and spoke to someone else. Once again my appointment was not found and the receptionist who I spoke too earlier needed to be spoken too to confirm whilst I was on hold. I questioned whether the appointment was actually arranged as by now I was sceptical and nervous. I was assured that I was on Doctors list once again and that he does call after 6:30pm so had nothing to worry about. So it’s now 8:30pm on the 20th Dec and I have not been called despite all the assurances from the team and all the phone calls above. I have been very let down by the surgery and the staff. I appreciate how busy everyone is but if someone calls 3 times you can see they are need of some support / advice.

Dear Mr Taylor Your complaint was received via the practice and this has been replied to by the Practice Manager. Your Klinik online consultation was put on the Doctors list for actioning, but we do advise patients that this isn't normally actioned the same day.

I am newly registered with this practice. I phoned this morning as have a problem all over Christmas about which I am concerned. I was told the phone call could not be completed. What does this mean?? I am beginning to wonder if I have made the right move. I only changed because I am 90 yrs old and could walk to the surgery rather than having to drive.
