Review titled Patient privacy, safety and access to timely care threatened
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 11 April 2024
My interactions with Bharani Medical Centre over the past years have left me deeply dissatisfied on multiple fronts. Despite repeatedly stressing the urgency of my medication needs, the process of obtaining renewed prescriptions has been fraught with delays. This is not just on one occasion, but it happens pretty much every single time there is a prescription renewal. It can take weeks to renew prescriptions, and requests are simply ignored. Despite my efforts to expedite the process through reminders via email and phone calls, the necessary paperwork has not been processed promptly, resulting in prolonged periods without essential medication. Not only have I experienced significant delays in prescription renewal, but a concerning incident involving the mishandling of confidential paperwork has also come to light. I was asked to leave confidential paperwork at the reception. Shockingly, this paperwork subsequently went missing, raising serious concerns about the center's data security protocols. Furthermore, my confidence in the center's ability to provide comprehensive care was severely shaken when it became apparent that my doctor had overlooked referring me to a hospital. This oversight led to months of further delays in accessing necessary medical attention, exacerbating an already challenging situation. These were just a few examples of the countless problems I have experienced with this clinic. In light of these issues, it is evident that Bharani Medical Centre must undertake a comprehensive review of its processes and protocols. Urgent measures are needed to address inefficiencies in prescription renewal, strengthen data security practices, and ensure timely referrals for necessary hospital care. The way they act is threatening patient's privacy, safety and access to timely care.

Review titled Very unprofessional receptionist
Rated 1 star out of 5

After trying for over 3 weeks to get an appointment via their recommended e consult and call by 8am with no success, I tried to go into the surgery personally to get an appointment. Only to be told call at 8am or attempt another e consult form which opens at 8am and closes at 8:05am. I can not make an appointment in advance so was basically told it’s just bad luck. This is totally unacceptable and Bharani need to look at their first point of call to be more professional and at least understanding that people are not coming to the surgery for a little chit chat but are desperate for medical professionals advice not to be interrogated or harassed by the receptionist.

I normally don’t write reviews it’s first time I am forced to write as I have overactive thyroid and been trying to do a blood test from 10 months and speak to dr as they need to alter my medication but can’t get appointments either by phone or e consult for example today I again tried on phone while my husband tried to book appointment simultaneously by e-consult at 8 but the system says sorry try again tomorrow so I tried calling receptionist again got through but she says sorry please call tomorrow as this is not an urgent appointment and need to call tomorrow. all I ask is alter my medication which was done previously as well.

Review titled Front desk needs training

Staff taking calls might benefit from customer service training. I understand the pressure on healthcare services are challenging however, hanging up on service users after a blunt and unpleasant conversation is unacceptable and quite frankly - easily avoidable. A greeting such as “have a nice day” would be enough. Simple solutions to a simple problem.
