  1. Review titled Felt embarrassed

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Marie harris - Posted on 09 August 2024

Receptionist was amazing and very discreet and friendly. The doctor I saw however, firstly I was told I only had 10mins. I had several things to discuss one of which was chest pains. She said I had to book an appointment 2 weeks later!! I also need to provide a stool sample but I wasn’t given a form to label it. I came away thinking I should just put up with how I felt as I was made to feel embarrassed and ashamed that I dare come in with more than one issue. She didn’t let me finish what I was saying and now I’m feeling more worried and stressed than when I went in. I think she was a locum as not seen her before and her door had a different doctors name on it.

Due to confidentiality, the patient was contacted directly about her health concerns. Generally, appointment slots are for 10 minutes and to ensure a patient has the best outcome, GPs prefer to concentrate on one health issue at a time. However, if a patient has several concerns, they are able to request a longer appointment for 20 minutes.

  2. Review titled Terrible Experience - Poor Patient Care

Rated 1 star out of 5

I've had an incredibly frustrating experience with this GP practice. Firstly, they rarely offer face-to-face appointments, and when you finally manage to get one after what feels like an eternity, the experience is disappointing, to say the least. The doctors don't seem to listen to you at all. From the moment you sit down, you're told that you only have 10 minutes, which instantly makes you feel uncomfortable and rushed. I had multiple symptoms that were clearly connected to one underlying issue, but the GP kept interrupting me and seemed uninterested in hearing me out fully. I've been seeking treatment for almost a year now, but every time, they send me away without a diagnosis or proper treatment. My condition has been worsening daily, but despite this, they haven’t taken my concerns seriously. This practice desperately needs to improve patient care and actually listen to those seeking help. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for proper medical attention.

Considering how Busy this practice is. I made a Telephone Appointment which was prompt and sorted out my issue. Doctors have sorted out a few Medical problems for me on many occasions which I am more than Happy with. Tony Brachman

  4. Review titled Shockingly poor service

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I requested my usual repeat prescription 2 weeks ago. The chemist emailed the surgery two days later to advise them that this medication was currently unavailable and requesting a prescription for a similar medication. A week later the surgery had still not issued the new prescription, so I phoned the surgery and was told the new prescription would be issued the same day. When I went to the chemist later that day, they told me that the surgery had sent a second prescription for the original (unavailable) medication. They confirmed that they had sent a second email. I attempted to call the surgery to sort everything out but was unable to get through to anyone, as the admin office always goes to voicemail. I called the next morning and was told by a very snappy woman that she was unable to help as she was on a different floor, but if they'd received the email it would be dealt with. She did not listen to me and after talking over me repeatedly, she hung up. I have been off work all week due to not having my medication: it is now Friday and I am hoping that the correct prescription will have been sent, otherwise I will be bed-bound for the whole weekend.
