Generally quite a good service from doctors and reception staff, but booking an appointment to see the doctor can be trying at times. Why can't a patient pre-book an appointment in advance If the appointment service can be improved it will be fantastic.

Dear Dave, Thanks a lot for your feedback Thanks for appreciating the staff. We are always trying to improve the appointment system to make it better for our patients. Patients can pre book the appointment up to four weeks in advance but we do understand that these appointments get booked very quickly. We do have reserved slots of appointments for over 75 and vulnerable patients as well. I had one of the dreaded female checkups and she was amazing!!! A truly friendly, calming, confident nature about her and made me feel perfectly at ease and a thousand times better than I did with the anticipation of waiting to go in. A special people person, a rare gif

This surgery is appalling and patients are really struggling. I do not know how some comments are giving 5 star to this surgery. After CQC given them inadequate, suddenly so many positive reviews which I am afraid does not match with the service this surgery is providing. Getting an appointment here is next to impossible . No empathy towards patients. My mum who was lucky enough to get the appointment after 4.5 weeks was told by GP that she needs to book another appointment for BP check with nurse as it is not GP job to take blood pressure - really! What a joke , appointment was booked for high bp and GP told her to book another appointment with nurses for BP check.

I got an appointment after 4 weeks and GP was clearly not listening to me. GP was so loud and non stop talking . I was literally in tears. Telephone lines are always busy, it took them 45 minutes to answer my call. I do not have courage to book another appointment in this surgery. Moving now to other surgery. Best of luck who are still enduring this surgery

I had a great experience with the receptionist “S”, who handled the appointment made for my nephew with great care and was very helpful and quick in making another appointment. She’s always smiling and never seems to be in a rush to finish with you. We also had a great experience with the nurse who done my little nephews injection, he was scared but she made him laugh and comforted him and within seconds the injection was done. Overall, they both were amazing and took their time with the appointments/ with any inquiries I had :)

The professionalism and efficiency l have experienced with the reception staff of this practice is well above and beyond my expectations. Friendly approachable and absolutely competent. They are an asset to the practice. As frontline staff their behaviour and attitude is fundamental to the overall impression of the practice and this team should be applauded wholeheartedly.

I arrived very unwell at the surgery, the receptionist was so kind and understanding, managed to fit me as an urgent appointment. The GP was very good asked questions very efficient and understanding she sent me to A&E where I was admitted for 8 days, thankyou for dealing so swiftly and professionally. The receptionist do a wonderful job in the most difficult circumstances, there are times when getting an appointment is frustrating and I do understand it, but in my case as an emergency I can only thankyou for your assistance kindness and help
