I registered with this practice last year and have only ever needed help from them twice. One was an appointment for my partner who is in the army who have a severed ear infection and had lost her hearing - I rang reception to be told my the receptionist that she was able to be temporary registered and would be put straight on and get an appointment with the duty doctor, within 10 minutes we went to the surgery to do the above to find the male receptionist refuse my partner in front of everyone due to being in the army and told her to go to her ‘army doctor’. I find this absolutely appaulling how because my partner is in the army, she was refused medical treatment - her doctors is 300 miles away & operates completely different to a Nhs one and was unable to get an appointment hence why she turned to the Nhs. I have never known a receptionist to speak with us the way he did, addressing myself by my last name and I quote ‘You should know how this works’ because I work in the Nhs myself. We were told to go to a&e or call 111 for an ear infection which just needed antibiotics. We registered her at a gp surgery down the road and the problem was solved with no hassle, within an hour. Appalling when a gp surgery is telling you to go to a&e or call 111 for an ear infection - makes you wonder why the waiting time for an out of hours doctor is so long. Another incident that has occurred is I asked for a sars request for my medical record and was refused and told I had to deal with my online access. I wanted my full medical record yet my online access starts from last November and has nothing on it. Patients have the right to request their full medical record and yet I was refused this. I think this is appalling, on 2 separate occasions I have experience a bad service with the practice.

I have made 173 calls to the surgery this morning. Still have not gotten through. Extremely frustrating. I need help but can't even get through to doctor. This needs to be rectified.
