Shockingly awful practice. Several complaints about the surgery. I suffer from uti’s and I’m under urologist. The antibiotics that the urologist prescribed didn’t work on this occasion. I called surgery and was in a 30 people wait. I eventually got spoken to and the call cut off. I then called back 30seconds later and was then placed in another 22 in a queue. When I eventually got thru the queue I explained my issue to the receptionist that I felt the antibitocs were not working etc. I got a response “yeah and?” (Which it then responded with I don’t think the antibiotics are working cos it’s still bad). And the reply I got was to call 111. This isn’t the first time the surgery has told me to call 111 to get antibiotics for a uti. I find them rude and impossible to offer any help. It’s never been a good surgery in the year and a bit I’ve been there! A few months back I had blood tests done. The surgery admitted to loosing my results. So I had to wait another two months to get the same blood test done! Bancroft medical also a year ago received a letter from a private physio asking the gp to refer me to an Nhs physio. Six months I hadn’t heard anything from Bancroft surgery so I chased it. They admitted it had slipped the system and no one had dealt with it. So I had to wait another three months to be referred. It really is a terrible surgery. If you can get thru to a gp they are often helpful. However the front of house really let the system and the surgery down.

ive been goingto bancroft surgery since August last year [2023} with an infection in my left foot , and feel my case hasnt been taken seriuosly,,im very dissatisied with the service,,

I requested a call this morning to find out if some symptoms I had were normal after being given and using antibiotics. The doctor on the call, who called at 9:23, was loud, impatient, did not give me chance to talk, and did not listen when I asked to explain the pain and other symptoms. She simply put me off and told me to wait until I have finished antibiotics, even though it was only a day way. In the end, I had to go to a local pharmacy and they found out the symptoms really mattered and the correct treatment was already delayed. It was appalling that she had no sympathy as a doctor, nor professional patience and willingness to listen. It was not a difficult illness to diagnose if she had any care about a patient's pain. She caused me a great deal of mental pain outside of the physical pain I was suffering. I am raising it because I dont want any other patience to suffer what I experienced.

My husband visited the surgery on my behalf this morning, as I have been quite unwell. We needed some urgent information, and staff went above and beyond to fulfil our request. We really appreciate your flexible approach, particularly in view of the huge time pressures you are all currently working under. You made a huge difference to my day. Thank you so much.

We've been registered at this for several years, and until recently it's been acceptable. However, in the last six months, it's been almost impossible to get routine appointments. You need to ring at 8 a.m. and usually end up in a queue of 30-60. However, the line is prone to dropping, and you end up having to rejoin the queue. We have young children who require the occasional appointment. However, this surgery is now worse than useless - it's simply a waste of your time. We now depend on private services. Very frustrating

been hanging on their Appointment Line now for 35 minutes just to make an appointment with a Nurse. Started off at 21 in the Queue and Still only number 13 !!! Unbelievable ! Surely there must be a Better way ???

This practice is simply not fit for purpose. Getting a face to face takes weeks and can include sitting on the phone for 30 minutes. Telephone appointments can also take weeks. Put quite simply, the practice is failing its patients.
