Review titled Terrible patient service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 30 September 2024
Unfortunately I have to agree with all the other reviews here and confirm basically everything others have already said. Service was average at best and problematic usually pre covid, but ever since it's not been usable unless your over 65. Not fit fit purpose for everyone else. Hostile and downright invasive Frontline reception staff who appear to be instructed to not give out actual GP visits in person at any cost. I mean, how can you conceivable diagnose and treat knee or feet problems without an in person visit. Some insistants on phone appt are just inappropriate and they should be reasonable about these things. And then there us availability, which is none existent. I've been told on multiple occasions that I can have an appointment in two months. Months. I coubted myself lucky recently I hot sn spot after 2 weeks. And this was for any doctor whatsoever as I don't care who I just want to be seen. And as for national campaigns for flu and covid injections tge last 2 years, forget it unless you over 65. Website and NHS app tell you to try agsin later. Reception tell you know, go away and find somewhere else to get it done. This surgery cannot cope with its population, and doesn't even appear to try which is worse. Surely management know? Surely their management above in NHS know they are not provide even a minimum level if acceptable service? Not fit for purpose.

Review titled Reception Staff

Average surgery. Wasn't given the information that I needed to book in for a medication review a week before my medication ran out because the doctor had informed me he'd be giving me a call in a month's time. When this was mentioned to the receptionist I was dismissively told this was my fault for 'not taking accountability for my health' and I hung up before I was insulted even further. Completely unprofessional and unhelpful.

Review titled Minimising patients records and unethical practices
Rated 1 star out of 5

Very concerned many of us are not having our vital health needs met. Treatment plans , reviews , screening etc all seem to be missed and I know my own health and others have been misrepresented. My records dont match my experiences and much left out. If you are concerned about your records ask for them by requesting a subject access request for your data. Check your my chart or similar health records and update them like I have if under represented. Insist on the checks being made where you know you need regular screening and don't be fobbed off with phone appointments for health issues impossible to diagnose over the phone . Veru concerned that this practise can no longer meet the needs of our growing community and as such I have lost my faith in the practise.

Review titled Really disappointed
Rated 1 star out of 5

I contacted my gp for a problem that was on going - and still on going- (and after treatment taken off counter). Test repeated 4 times, came back normal and a message was sent to me saying 'normal test, no need to contact the doctor'. Every time that I called the doctor to please follow up and do other test, repeating the same test. When asked for a referral: denied. When pushing to do more test: denied. At the end, more test were done and when I asked the doctor to please contact the clinic to do it as urgent (prior I contacted the clinic to try to change the appointment but only can do it earlier if the doctor put an urgent referral), the answer is 'you are ok, is not a matter of urgency'. Since November with this health issue. Still a month until the clinic appointment with a referral denied. This issues is limitating my normal daily activities and I am under 40 yo, fit and well. What should I do then? Go to the private healthcare? Shame, dissapointed and definetely I am not going to stop in this bad review. Already looking how to do a formal complaint and escalated that to the GP manager.

Went in for my flu jab today after being originally being told I wasn’t entitled ! Which was wrong as I am entitled with my health condition then while in there wanted an appointment which I was asked why and what did I need the appointment for I said it was my health condition and she wanted more information it is a joke it was personal and I didn’t want to talk in the reception area I was told I could have one two weeks from now and I would get a confirmation which I haven’t had I only want to talk to a doctor it is disgusting how patients are being treated at this practice . Been with this practice for at least40 years this is the worst I have know it .

We are sorry that we weren't immediately able to give you an appointment with a GP. We ask patients the reason for the appointment request to help triage the urgency. We are happy to discuss any problems in person or via telephone, please contact the Practice Managers if you would like to do so.
