  1. Review titled Forgot we had signed in and left us waiting an hour

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 07 March 2023

After signing in for an appointment at 5.50 we were still waiting at 6.50. Made myself known to reception. Only at this point could I see an obscured sign which said "make yourself known to reception after 20 minutes". Nurse at reception said the dentist we were waiting to see had already left. The dentist that was remaining said "he would be willing to see us instead" as if he was doing us a favour.

  2. Review titled Fantastic Dentist

Rated 5 stars out of 5

The dentist took great care and attention to explain exactly what would happen. This was visually shown on the X-Ray photograph. The dentist stopped to make sure I was ok and even though this was a difficult tooth to extract it was completely pain free. Good instructions given to take away on how to manage the socket post extraction. I cannot recommend this dentis enough.

  3. Review titled Clarence House, Watton kicked off all NHS dental patients

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Clareloulu - Posted on 02 February 2023

Over the last 2 years, Clarence House dental surgery have repeatedly cancelled appointments at short notice for both myself and my child. My dentist went off on maternity leave and I was told to ring back near when my appointment was due in 12 months and my daughter whose dentist was closely monitoring her teeth due to hereditary enamel problems had hers cancelled last August and again told she could only have a yearly appointment unless she had an emergency. I tried to get her an appointment as she has a lot of pain only to be told all NHS patients had been removed and they were only seeing private patients because they can’t find NHS dentists even though the same dentists are there. No warning, no correspondence to say we were being removed despite never missing appointments. We cannot afford to be seen privately. Disgusting practice from a so called caring profession especially when dealing with children.

  4. Review titled Really awful. Do not go to this Dental Practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 16 February 2023

This practice is shockingly bad mainly because of its incompetent staff. I was told that I needed a filling back in October 2022 so I paid for the Filling and a Hygenist appointment and made sure that they were going to be on the same day so I wouldn’t have to make two trips as I live about 20 miles away - brilliant! So I thought… Several weeks later I turned up on the day, saw the hygienist first and sat there waiting for my filling appointment only to be told an hour later that they could no longer do it. I said “ok, I understand - no problem” even though I’d had no text or call saying otherwise and rearranged it for another date at the end of December. Again I turned up in December but this time to a closed practice and greeted by a really young girl in her pyjamas who said that my appointment had been cancelled. No text. No call informing me of this information once again. I was fuming. Bearing in mind i’m in pain and I really need my filling (and I’ve already paid for it!) I called up the following week and booked another appointment in February 2023. So… I can’t quite believe that I’m writing this but I’ve just been told that my appointment has been cancelled once again. This time they did have the curtesy to inform me the day before by text however. I’ve made yet another appointment in May this time so we shall see what happens. I would not recommend this Practice. It’s a shame because the lady Dentist that I have seen is extremely nice and friendly. It’s just the people around her.

  5. Review titled So kind to someone so anxious

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Rebekah Harris - Posted on 08 November 2022

I was so incredibly anxious due to a previous unpleasant experience. I was shaking and in tears whilst sat in the waiting room. The dentist took the time to understand where my fear originated from. He was gentle, compassionate and kind talking me through the whole process. His assistant was equally as comforting and caring. It was such a great experience and restored my confidence. I had an extraction which was painless and successful. I can’t thank this dentist enough. They both made me feel so at ease. I think he was the kindest dentist I’ve ever experienced and I’m so grateful.

  6. Review titled Same day treatment - impressive

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Steve Woodhurst - Posted on 02 November 2022

A phone call to my dentist at 9 am was met with a sympathetic response and an appointment for urgent treatment at 3.15 pm on the same day. An excellent response and much appreciated.

  7. Review titled Awful service and 3 appointments for anything!

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Adam Huberman - Posted on 12 December 2022

I called to make an appointment and was asked what was wrong, I advised i think a filling has come out and was told there was no appointments and id be put on a 'waitlist'. I got a call back the following day offering me an appointment the following week. When i attended i got an xray and was told there wasnt enough time for a filling and had to return. I was charged the NHS fee which i thought would cover the filling on the next appointment. When I returned for the second I was told I would have a temporary filling and needed to come back a third time for a permanent one. Then I was told i had to pay again as the first appointment was an emergency which wasnt included. I had never asked for an emergency appointment neither waiting a week is an emergency. To have three appointments for a simple filling is obsurd and seems like the practice is taking its clients and the NHS for a ride hence feeling the need to take this further. My third appointment was in November when i contracted covid and was unable to attend tried to call the practice to cancel but as usual nobody answered the phone and after trying several times gave up. Then last week i called to rebook and was told by the receptionist that she had to speak to the dentist before booking me an appointment and to date I've had no call back! Someone in the NHS needs to review the practices at this surgery as its grown very big on the NHS account notably with 3 appointments claimed for a simple filling is probably just scrapping the surface!

  8. Review titled Fantastic dentist

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I have been with my dentist for years and he is super kind and gentle. Today I visited as an emergency not realising that since the pandemic you needed an appointment. However he saw me anyway even though though they weren't yet open. Truly a kind and caring man and I can't thank him and Priory Dental Practice enough
