I am a very nervous patient.on checkup went to check in down stairs was told to go check in upstairs.I needed two fillings the dentist assured me it would be fine no pain and I felt I could do this! I did take calming tablets the night before and morning of the appointment I went straight to check in upstairs as advised to do so the week before,it wasn’t manned at that time but at the practice was open I assumed staff were just away from the desk so I waited. I was then told off by my dentists’ nurse telling me I should always book in downstairs , which wasn’t the way on my previous visit , I explained I was waiting for staff to appear she gestured towards the reception area and said but no one is here! By this point my nerves were now sky high!! Taken to the dentist she asked how she could help me? I advised I was there the week before that she advised I needed a tooth repair and filling, she said , no I’ve not been there since October! At this point was so close to walking out never to return ! it took me so much to get there! The dentist said not to worry she will do what is needed as by this time I had got myself upset. During procedure I was reassured but unfortunately called by a different name , my mouth was full I could not correct her in that my name is Tina! Once I was able to speak I advised them both I was Tina, and therefore I was being medically treated as a different person! I could not wait to get out and go home , my husband was waiting in the car outside as I got in the car I burst into tears. The whole experience was so traumatic for me when I had built myself to be brave and finally go! They said see you in 6 months! Well how I feel at the moment I don’t think so!

Phoned for appointment, very pleasant lady answered and gave me appointment for following day. Very efficient receptionist checked me in. The dental nurse and lady dentist put me at ease ( I am a nervous patient!) and explained every Thing to me while carrying out my assessment. So professional but caring. Thank you.

I am a patient at the practice as is my 93 year old mother who has a dementia diagnoses with restricted mobility and now resides in a care home. I phoned the practice as care home staff had mentioned that Mum had spoken of a tooth feeling different and was experiencing discomfort. The receptionist was very understanding and gave us an appointment for the following week. The dentist and her nurse who had seen Mum in the past were so very kind, considerate and understanding of Mum's needs, as a consequence, Mum had no anxiety and actually rather enjoyed her experience. Thankyou to all concerned.

Prolonged times to get through on phone but helpful thereafter. Dentist I see could be a bit more commutative, very reluctant to communicate about treatment etc. Have to ask to find out basic information.

As a very nervous patient the dentist and nurse were so attentive and made me feel as relaxed as possible, they didn't rush me out the door after the extraction and allowed me to calm down before leaving, Even the receptionist who took the payment was concerned as I was walking home and she rang me after about 30 minutes to insure I was home safely The whole procedure from booking in on arrival to the phone call to check was amazing, I'm utterly terrified of dentists and still am but at least they care and understand
