After waiting for years for an appointment I was due to see my dentist today. I needed a detail so looked at their website online - it doesn’t exist. Tried calling the dentist but mailbox is full. Email I sent has bounced back saying address does not exist. Checked reviews online to find others have turned up for their scheduled appointment to find the practice permanently closed. No contact from the surgery to say they were closing. Wanted to submit this to prevent others wasting their time.

It appears from other reviews that the surgery as been closed for some time, no letter to this effect. I was sent a reminder of my apt and the medical update form, turned up at the appointed time, as other reviewers found, the surgery closed with a notice on the door basically saying ‘get lost’. How appalling that folk are treated like this. No NHS dentist taking new patient in this area, nearest is 34 miles away. Need to go private unfortunately.

I joined this practice when it first opened as an NHS patient. I had a lot of work done and was delighted with the experience . I wa then asked to take up Denplan and go private . I did not want to do this because of the cost and spurious benefits. I was told if I didn’t I would be deprioritised for appts . Every appt made since this time during covid etc has been moved by up to a year . Due to go this morning I found a note on the door saying the practice was being taken over and given a number to phone which didn’t connect . Joined by another waiting person to be seen I learned what was going on . Wonder ifI have been bounced off the list too and where now ?.As a tax and NI payer I have paid already for this service .While I don’t mind paying a bit extra if difficult work has to be done I am left thinking that dentistry is a bit of a racket .

I keep trying to telephone the practice as I have moved house and no longer need my appointment. No one answers the phone and my emails keep coming back as undelivered.
