The dentist was extremely friendly and gave me a full examination showing me what did and didn't need to be done, which I hadn't experienced at previous dentist's. After consultation I was booked in promptly for my next appointment requiring a filling. Again the dentist was honest with white & grey fillings and provided me with all impartial knowledge of what to choose. I have recommended the dentist already to family and friends. Lovely practice!

This was my and my wife’s first visit. Quaint old fashion building. Reception staff were nice and friendly and welcomed us. Only waited five minutes to go upstairs to the dentist. Very welcoming dentist. Full of fun and extremely efficient. At ease straight away. My wife and I do not like dentists. But my goodness our visit to this dentist was actually a pleasant experience. A great practice.

Booked for routine review including broken tooth. Given an appointment within a reasonable timetable, against the background that the visit was not urgent. Dentist and assistant were pleasant and professional. Work, including hygiene treatment recommended and carried out in the same sitting, together with remedial work to the broken tooth, were fast and efficient. Advice was given for possible future treatment of the broken tooth. All round proficient, professional and pleasant

I visited this practice last week as I was having a lot of pain from a tooth were the crown had come off and the tooth was crumbling. The dentist took an xray and told me I had an infection, so couldn't do the tooth today as I needed antibiotics. He prescribed 5 days antibiotics and sent me off to return the following Saturday. It takes me an hour each way to get to get to this practice which was worth it in the past with my previous dentist. He was the best on so many levels. I trusted him and always felt that he and the staff were clear, and above board with what to expect. I returned today eager to get this tooth out, the dentist looked at my teeth to do a second assessment of each tooth. He then uprights my chair to talk to me. He began talking about my options, removing the tooth, bridges, dentures and implants. We talked about costs and payment plans, he was uncertain whether payment plans were possible at this practice and told me I would have to speak to reception to find out. I said, okay, can we go ahead and just take the tooth out now, and I would look at a plan for going forward. Imagine my surprise and even shock to be told, no you weren't booked in for treatment today, just an assessment. I replied, but you assessed last week and told me you would treat the tooth when the infection had gone, which is now. He said no there wasn't time. My backside was not in that chair more than 5 mins. In two visits I have paid £51.40 for a course of antibiotics, (a very expensive 5 day course of antibiotics). I have so many health issues at the moment, I spend more time at hospital than I do at home, I could really have done without the expense and time of 4 hours travel and parking fees, plus £50+, that has solved nothing. This experience has left a real bitter taste for this practice and it appears to be very easy money for this Dentist who appears to do the least amount of work possible. Bitterally disappointed, this would never have happened with my previous dentist at this practice. Even the receptionist who took the payment had an attitude and sarcastic tone, which I have always felt is a reflection of the staff at the top. I have never experienced this here until today. Things are definitely slipping for this practice. :(

Always an amazing welcome by the reception staff who helped give me confidence of booking an appointment after hiding away for several years. The dentists and nurses who I have seen throughout my course of treatment have been very caring and professional. I am delighted with my results and would not hesitate to use them again. Thanks

Absolutely 5* treatment by highly professional team. The dentist I saw saved my tooth from needing to be extracted. Everyone so friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend after my visit today. Bonus that they are taking NHS patients.

They cancelled my app. To fit a private emergency in, and 5 days later I got an infection and my face swelled up, they told me I could only get a private emergency app. Which would cost me around £100 and I should call 111 if I wasn’t prepared to go ahead with this. So now I’m waiting 2 days until they can fit me in for an nhs appointment. Seems my welfare is not as important as private patients!

Damira Dental Studios have always serviced both private patients and NHS patients. We have a certain amount of time dedicated to NHS services and some for private services. All dentists are self-employed and split their time between NHS and private care. Accordingly, there may be a shorter waiting time for private services as there is less demand for them.
