Review titled Poor
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Mark - Posted on 22 October 2024
I find this dental practice very hard work especially getting hold of them ! Even if you leave a message they will not get back to you ! I have spent an hour and forty minutes in the last 24H trying to find out why my appointment that I made in person was cancelled 15 min after it was made ! Some of the reception staff are hard to understand and quite blunt and they don’t actually have a qualified dentist on site most of the time as I recently found out as to get a tooth removed I first had to be inspected by the real dentist because he didn’t trust the other staff there ! And now have to go back again to have my tooth removed ( which is what I booked in for in the first place again in person) but it’s the only nhs dentist I could get into probably for obvious reasons . But I’m sure there are many good true experiences but not for me !!

Review titled Happy to have a dentist
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by S Stanley - Posted on 02 August 2024
I was shocked a dentist within a reasonable distance of home that was actually taking on Nhs patients. I registered my whole family with Copse Lane, we got onboarding checkups very quickly and were all pleased with the treatment and advice we received. Copse Lane doesn’t, as far as I understand, have an actual Nhs dentist, so extractions, bridges etc can’t be done here and need to be referred out (which takes a long time). However the technicians can do fillings and certain other treatments. A couple of family members had fillings, which were quickly booked and performed. Painless and “not at all scary” (according my daughter). I’m just incredibly grateful to have found an Nhs dentist at *all*, so the fact that all the staff are welcoming and patiently delivering a reduced service to the very best of their abilities is a nice bonus!

Review titled Recent visit

I attended for a tooth to be rebuilt. Despite my anxiety the practitioner was very reassuring and also replaced another cracked filling. It is a pity that there are so few NHS Qualified Dentists available now.

Review titled At last million times better
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Neil - Posted on 06 July 2024
So yes I have experienced lots of issues previously with this dentist and it did go down hill massively. However Now it is vastly improved. The hygenist m.a.n.u. was very thorough and good. Explaining everything throughout. So 5 stars for him. Next was check up, again the dentist took time and care to explain everything. To point of explaining around brushing with electric toothbrush and how to properly use it. Something I have never been ever told! Hence now I have gum issues. So Thankyou to them too. So despite reservations I am happy to say there now has been a vast improvement and I hope it stays that way.

Review titled Much improved
Rated 4 stars out of 5

Previous experience of this practice has been very poor. But more recently it has much improved, no more cancellations and issues with payments. (Said we hadn’t paid, I had evidence we had) Our most recent experiences have been much improved, staff polite and friendly, all explanations given, this was in regards to both dental treatment and hygienist visits. Hopefully this will continue.

Review titled from bad to worse
Rated 2 stars out of 5

I had the 1st appointment of the day and they were still kept me waiting more than 20 mins after my appointment time. If i turned up 20 mins late they'd have had a fit. This is unacceptable double standards. Then they tell me I have to "sign this document" which is effectively moving me from NHS to private, but they didn't tell me what it said. They clearly expected me to sign without reading. I was there for a checkup, but afterwards, they tell me they currently don't have any dentists to do the work they identified but i can go to one of their other private practices. Before they changed hands they were poor, they have since gone down hill.

Review titled First Appointment. Great
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by GAP - Posted on 19 June 2024
Just had my first check up, only three days after calling. All staff, reception, dental nurse and dentist were very polite. Clearly well educated, great examination, explained everything, identified required treatment and booked me in for it within three days!! Equipment and facilities hygienic, can't ask anything more. Definitely off to a great start. Thanks

Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 19 June 2024
Iv called the practice 17 times over the last few weeks I have left messages and stayed on the line they dont call back or answer the phone. I was called number 1 for over an hour once before I hung up. Iv had tooth ache for weeks but I cant get to see anyone and there are no other places taking NHS patients. Disgusting treatment

Review titled Excellent practice

My husband and I had a hygienist appointment. The hygienist was friendly and explained exactly what he was going to do. In the past this has been an uncomfortable experience but this was not the case here. We both left feeling that he had done a great job.
