Takes months and months to get an appointment, most of the time it get cancelled last minute and if you do get an appointment you always wait an hour after your appointment time with no explanation or even being told that they are late. Not child friendly waiting room a box of pencils but no paper or anything for them to use their pencils with. Awful service

For the past 2-3 years, appointments are repeatedly cancelled without a replacement date/time being offered. It usually takes months from the first appointment booking to actually coming face-to-face with a dentist. I received a automated phone message yesterday, bank holiday Monday, that was simply a series of unconnected words, but one of these was cancelled. I am now waiting on the phone as 'all the operators are busy at the moment' to enquire as to whether my appointment tomorrow has indeed been cancelled and, if so, to remake it for the 4th time. They have told me that they only employ one NHS dentist as all others have turned private. This one person keeps leaving the practice leaving them without anyone until a replacement can be found. I could be understanding but this has been going on for 2-3 years and the reception staff are mostly uncaring. After approx. 15mins of waiting for someone to answer the phone, I have just been asked to leave a message so that someone can return my call - but immediately was then told the message box was full and the call ended. Just terrible.

This dentist has been poor the whole time we have been with them. I can only put it down to the fact they are wanting to upset there NHS patients enough that they leave!. Receptionists are rude and cannot make eye contact. The last straw was cancelling my child’s appointment for an emergency one ….an emergency in a months time?. To be honest there are so many things to say but I literally don’t want to waste anymore time on them.

I arrived for my appointment to be told that it had been cancelled but I had not been told that this was the case. This was the second time my appointment had been cancelled!

The examination was very quick and perfunctory. The dentist and assistant were very pleasant. Again for the umpteenth time we were told by the dentist that she could not clean or descale, as the equipment was not working. After not having this service for the last 2 years my wife was told to book an appointment with the hygienist @a cost of £69. The receptionist then told us that they no longer descale or clean unless there is a medical reason to do so. I looked this up on line to find that this service should be included, especially if the dentist is saying it is required.

The dentist and receptionist were helpful and competent. However I was disappointed that for the 4th time cleaning my teeth was not possible. This has meant that I need to have a hygienist appointment when a further cost of £69 will be incurred. Since band 1 includes cleaning ( confirmed by internet) I feel this is not acceptable especially considering I am elderly and have the limiting illness of Parkinsons. Extra visits to dentists are stressful.
