I got seen quickly by Bridge street Dental but also got the feeling that the NHS badge was a method of getting people into the surgery for private Dentistry. I was asked if I was on any benefits and was given a check up and my teeth were cleaned quickly for free and then immediately offered Valplast dentures for my missing teeth and a price of £1200.00. I have had a 2nd appointment for a scan for ball last. I asked for future repairs on some of my teeth but the dentist said we would look at this after the valplast. I asked if I would get future repairs fillings on the NHS and was told we would discuss after the Vlaplast denture was fitted . They asked for a £30.00 deposit on the first visit and they suggested a 3 or £400.00 deposit after the Valplast Scan so paid ££300.00. So far I’m quite impressed but still have a feeling that they are getting the public in with a view to more private Dentistry as everyone knows that the money they receive from the NHS is not sustainable anymore hence the public have no option to pay for private.
