I booked in for my 1st NHS dentist appointment as I usually attend in Ireland. Staff were not accommodating when I asked how the process works and when spelling my name even went so far in calling my accent ‘weird’. I work in the NHS and did not appreciate the tone that was used, particularly as English is my first language.

The reception staff have a tendency to answer the phone and immediately hang up. This is particularly eveident during the morning periods. They said "they were too busy to answer it" when I asked them once I did get through. Be ignored is not an acceptable solution!
