I visited the dental hygienist, she is very friendly and put me at ease & checked I was ok throughout my visit. She is always happy to give you advice on teeth cleaning tips to maintain your teeth/ gums at home. My teeth felt really clean afterwards. I would highly recommend.

Dental hygienist completed previous patients' paperwork in my (strictly observed) 30 min hygienist visit. Didn't even finish cleaning all of my teeth - downed tools to the second and said I would have to pay the same again if I wanted her to finish. No apology for time spent by her at the start finishing off previous patient's notes. Disgraceful.

I can’t book appointments with my dentist and the reason is they don’t book appointments with nhs customers 'If you don't like it, go somewhere else.' Without consulting me, they changed our family dentist. They said we had to pay extra to make an appointment with the previous dentist because he now only sees private clients. However, when we asked the dentist about this, he said it wasn't true. They did this last year aswel. Now, just to stick to their word, they stubbornly refuse to give us an appointment with him. And I’m paying for my dental treatment. It is very disappointing to receive such treatment from a place our family has been going to for 14 years, and I condemn it.

I think they are far behind the times in terms of customer service. For a small request related to my child's treatment, the response I received was unacceptable: 'If you don't like it, go somewhere else.' Without consulting me, they changed our family dentist. A very big 'thank you very much' to my Dentist, the Support Team and in particular the Team's Technician for providing me with a superb 'made to measure' replacement upper, stainless steel, skeleton frame denture, which included additional teeth. Overall the procedures' and service provided were excellent and carried out in a very professional and efficient manner with the patient's needs and well being given top priority. The Practice should feel proud of their staff in carrying out an excellent service, which is very much appreciated indeed.

I was assigned an emergency appointment at this practice and the service I received surpassed my expectations by a country mile. The dentist who treated me was superb. I am very grateful that my needs were met under the NHS dentistry service and I will happily return to this practice for future care. Parking at Abbey Meads can be a bit of a pain at the wrong time of day and there was a persistent unpleasant smell in reception, but these issues were wholly negated by the fantastic quality of care that I received by the dentist and her assistant. Highly recommended!

I Was told to come in 10 mins before my 9 oclock appointment to then have to wait an extra 30 mins. people that came in behind me then go first and im still sat waiting till 9.48 to be seen once i was seen i was told i have to come back at 10.55 as they can't remove that tooth now but can at 10.55. All staff are rude and just sat about drinking tea

Myself and my two sons have been going to Abbeymeads since we moved to Swindon, 7 years ago. I've seen 3 different dentists and they have all been lovely. I've had fillings etc and I was very at ease, they don't rush you in and out the door. They are really kind and the reception staff are super efficient also.

Used the practice once before for an emergency - they couldn't have been more helpful. Wanted to join the practice as a private patient and to discuss some treatment so gave them a call. Receptionist was very abrupt told they couldn't help me and to ring 111.

Having been with Abbey Meads Dental Practice for a number of years, it’s great to see the team in their long-awaited lovely new building. Receptionist is always welcoming although always seems manically busy and in need of a tea break. The dentist I see is experienced and delivers considerate treatments without rushing. The dental nurses are beyond polite but whisper quiet when calling patient names in reception area - something to bear in mind now that the reception area is so much bigger - and be prepared for them whispering for you as Mr/Mrs first name, which is pretty charming but catches many patients off guard. New building will definitely improve the patient experience with lots more waiting area space/seating and nicer toilets that are a big step up from the pokey cupboards they used to have. The blue sky ceiling light panels are a nice touch above the treatment chairs, such a shame they aren’t orientated the same way as the patients as you spend your appointment looking at them sideways which reduces the relaxation a bit. Overall they’re a good team and have worked super hard throughout Covid and beyond to ensure patient safety and well-being is at the core of the patient’s visit. Keep up the great work :)
