Review titled Very happy with service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Joanne Khan - Posted on 25 January 2023
So, today I attended the urgent care facility in preston for the first time after being sent from the 111 service. I had to wait a short time to meet a triage nurse who was very friendly, happy and brightened my day when I was feeling very under the weather. After triage I was sent to another waiting area where again I waited for a relative short time, was called in to the doctor who assessed my needs quickly and explained treatment to me. Gave a a prescription and sent me on my way feeling like I would soon be on the mend. The whole process today took less than one hour which was very surprising to me. But mostly I was impressed with the proficiency, kindness of the staff and wanted to say thank you. At a time when services are stretched it’s refreshing to have great service.

Review titled Not the greatest experience

Although a very long wait (several hours) I feel what lets this service down is poor communication, staff being defensive and probably not enough doctors. Triage, x-rays and tv all done in a timely manner but the wait for the doctors holds everything up. Sadly people get tired, frustrated and leave untreated and feeling let down. Thr system needs revising. A lot of unhappy people who were unwell left feeling frustrated by the poor service.

Review titled Immediately on the defensive
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Mrs Nicola Brookes - Posted on 11 October 2022
Unfortunately my husband was admitted to urgent care via a and e. After being in the hospital for 12 hours with no treatment I rang urgent care to see how he was. I was met on the phone with a defensive attitude? I know sometimes you get abuse on the phone but I certainly wasn't abusive, I was just told he was having treatment and that she wsnt a clinician a.d that some patients are waiting 56 hours. There was no need for this attitude to me, I am just a concerned relative asking about my husband who is 5 days post op with an obvious infection and ? DVT. There was no need to treat me like that.
