  1. Review titled Tremendous therapy experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 06 April 2023

The referral came at just the right time for me and was sensitively and professionally delivered. It was an emotional and fulfilling experience to be guided to learn and start understanding how the way I behave now is a result of many factors, that I can change my responses, and look forward to the future.

  5. Review titled Why didn't I try this earlier??

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Elia Ramos - Posted on 16 December 2022

I was always reluctant to try therapy thinking my problems "are not that bad", but CBT has helped me see things in a different perspective and process some of my trauma and how that affects my daily life and interactions, I also had a lovely therapist and I thank her for the patience she had with me and the tools she gave me to move forward, you know who you are! Thank you to Sutton Uplift and the great work you do, I was at the deep end. ever grateful, Élia.

  7. Review titled Fantastic Support

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Emma Wilson - Posted on 05 February 2023

I can't thank Lucy and the Team enough. I was at a very low point in my life and my regular sessions with Lucy helped me so much. I gradually learnt the tools and skills to help me move forward and Lucy's ongoing, support, care and encouragement lifted me from the depths of my despair to feeling life had meaning again and that I could make a difference. Thank you so much, your care and encouragement made a huge difference to me. I really hope other people reach out in their hour of need and are are to access the tools I was able to, to help them move forward and focus on the small steps they can take each day to motivate and uplift them to a better place. Thank you so much.

  8. Review titled Great Practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Kay - Posted on 08 March 2023

I am so delighted to have met A through Sutton Uplift. She is extremely attentive and a great listener. I have had a massive improvement on my mood because she broke things down with me step by step and ensured I had a great understanding of why I was having low moods etc. A went out of her way to advise me almost like a friend would, which made me feel very confident and comfortable to open up and relay all my worries. A is very professional and has a lovely way about doing her job. I can tell as a previous patient she enjoys her job thoroughly and takes it serious. A deserves a pay rise. (big one) to reflect her work ethic and great skills. Thanks to A I no longer need CBT and she has taught me how to deal with things that may come up in my future in an effective way. The things that were taught will go with me a long way. Thank you so much.

I had a series of 16 sessions with Sutton Uplift - related to grief and depression - the sessions were very helpful, communication was always good on and offline, and my counsellor was very supportive, helpful, wise and able to help me open up. I would recommend to anyone and am very pleased to have been able to receive such high-quality support.

  10. Review titled Bereavement counselling

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 15 September 2022

At my own choice, my therapy was conducted over the telephone. I had 11 sessions to help me adjust to the death, under difficult circumstances, of my husband. The counsellor was able to listen to what I wanted to say. But she was not merely a passive listener; she was willing to intervene with suggestions and suggest more positive directions. She was also willing to receive emails and respond to them during my treatment, which was helpful. At the same time, she never cast any doubt as to the validity of my emotions and my right to hold them. There was no sense of her passing moral judgments on anything I said.
