  2. Review titled Terrible

Rated 1 star out of 5

The nurse thought it was ok to continue watching/listening to an online training presentation during my appointment with her. When I suggested this was unprofessional and she wasn’t learning anything because she wasn’t paying full attention to it, she laughed at me. I left before my procedure could be completed.

  3. Review titled Good practice

The doctor that attended to me was very thoughtful and patient. With all his work loads, he made time to attentively listen to me, empathise with my situation and try finding solutions to my situation. I have not been treated so humanely like that for a very long time. I am grateful for his patience.

  4. Review titled Administration appointment error

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Robert Gill - Posted on 20 March 2024

I was first given a telephone appointment to determine what was causing a blood-shot eye, this was then amended to a face-to-face appointment. I was offered the time of 9:10am on Tuesday morning, this was then confirmed by text and I informed my manager and got the time off. I then got another confirmation text but with a later time. As I had not been informed the 9:10 appointment had been cancelled and that the later time replaced it, I turned up at the surgery only to find the 9:10 had been rescheduled. This was not suitable or convenient as I did not have my manager’s approval. So the surgery was going to offer me an appointment in a week, but the reception manager was aware of the condition of my eye, they tried to get me seen by the doctor, but that didn’t happen, so had to book an emergency appointment for the next day.

I had an appointment with the doctor yesterday and was most impressed with his thorough and friendly approach. Any questions I had were answered clearly and I did not feel rushed during this appointment.

  7. Review titled Friendly Practice.

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Richard Watts - Posted on 29 March 2024

As with many, if not most, GP Practices since the height of the Covid pandemic, I had quite a wait (> 2 weeks) to get a face to face GP appointment following triage of the online form. I appreciate that services are stretched and this current government are not helping but further undermining the situation with under funding. But something has to give. Patients should be able to make appointments within days and not weeks. This situation leads to patients presenting at A&Es inappropriately when they should be seen by a GP in a more timely manner. Having said the above...the clinician I saw at my visit was excellent. The care I received was exemplary and all my concerns were addressed. In fact I have always had a good service from the health professionals at this practice once I get to see them.

I was expecting a telephone appointment, I never received a call. This is the second time in a row. I’ve been told this review is not enough characters so am writing more.

The GP listened and reacted to what I said. He acted on my symptoms and gave practical advice that was helpful. Also a plan fir if I'm not feeling better. I felt heard and reassured.
