I have just had my second cataract surgery, 6 weeks after my right eye surgery. What a difference, colours are remarkable and my sight is so much better, excellent distance vision in both eyes. The waiting time at the SpaMedica clinic was quite long, especially for pre-op but certainly worth it. Brilliant staff, very friendly & caring. I had the same surgeon both times & he was very good. Yes, I was worried about the whole procedure but all over quickly.

Seen within a week. Excellent preop session. Informed about everything in thoroughly sympathetic way. Admitted 2 days later. Very efficient and kind process. All done in 3.5 hours.

I had both eyes treated. The first op in May was brilliant. No pain, no discomfort. No grittiness after the op either. Excellent consultant who explained as he operated. The second, in July, was performed by a different consultant and was good but not as outstanding as the first. I could see the implement and, I think, the lens. I did experience minor discomfort and the eye felt gritty and watered for a few days after the op. The staff were all excellent. Friendly, thoughtful, welcoming and considerate.

Was seen for pre op and had surgery all within 2 weeks of being referred. Very efficiently run service, and pleasant and helpful staff. Easy to get to and to park.

A new clinic with fantastic service from reception staff, nurses and surgeons. I felt I was being looked after by professional caring staff. I had a cataract removed from each eye about 6 weeks apart and the difference in my vision is amazing. Clear bright colours and sharpness of vision. It feels like the years have been rolled back for me, as I now only need glasses for reading and close work. Thank you so much.

This was my second cataract operation at SpaMedica, the first one being very successful. I was very surprised and pleased at how quickly I was able to get an appointment after seeing my Optometrist. This time with delays due to late taxi, scrub nurse injuring herself and IT issues with my treatment history, the staff made every effort to minimise the inconvenience. I do not like anything near my eyes but the operation was efficient, painless and enabled me to relax. Thanks to the work from the people in reception, admissions, pre-op and the surgeon it was, while not enjoyable, was more than acceptable. Thank you all for your efforts. A day later and my second eye is pain free and with much brighter and clearer sight, a total transformation.

From start to finish Eye 1…05 June, Eye 2 ….01 Aug, everything and everyone superb. Hospital absolutely spotless, staff professional/friendly and approachable, both operations done at top speed, no waiting, have sung your praises from the rooftops! Most of all my eyes….fantastic!
