Absolutely delighted with the fast and efficient patient care and service provided for removal of my cataract. The pre-assessment appointment was organised very quickly and the pre-assessment process was completed efficiently covering every aspect from testing to seeing optometrist who provided the relevant pre surgery eye drops. Want to thank each and everyone of the team and the surgeon for his patience and care in removing my cataract. Apologises for my erratic eye movement which he dealt with excellently. Aftercare advice given was explained clearly and additional written instructions and information provided in booklet format which clearly illustrates how to apply eye medication drops. Overall I am extremely happy with the professional approach of all staff involved. I would definitely recommend the Wakefield SpaMedica team and it’s location, very easy to locate and plenty of parking available. I am looking forward to returning for my other eye cataract removal in the next six weeks. That in its self states how at ease I felt and how happy I am with the care provided.

I was a little nervous in having the procedure, but the professional, efficient & friendly staff made the experience smooth and trouble free, I have no qualms in having my other eye done with the team at the Wakefield clinic

I fully uphold all that is said about Spa Medica on reviews. I already attend one of their clinics for my gloucomea where I receive excellent attention, so I was so happy to have my first cataract removed by them. After the initial appointment there was no waiting weeks for the op and on the day all the staff put me at ease. The only thing I would say, is tell clients about the cover that goes over their head , neck and face, some people might suffer from claustrophobia. Thank you to all the staff at Spa Medica Wakefield. I am looking forward to my next one being removed.

I have had both cataracts removed within 6weeks and the service I received has been absolutely first class.The staff were all very friendly putting you at your ease I can only say a very big thankyou .

Having just had my second cataract operation I would like to say how efficient and professional all the staff were at SpaMedica. The whole experience from first being referred by my optician was certainly speedy and I would certainly recommend SpaMedica to anyone waiting for similar surgery.

Had cataract operation in October '23, followed by 2nd eye done in January '24. All staff very professional and very informative at every stage of the procedure. I was referred by my optician, and had an appointment very quickly. I would have no hesitation in recommending this clinic to anyone in need of a cataract operation. They are excellent.

I was seen promptly. Staff were kind, helpful and informative throughout. The waiting room music was awful ! Please play something more relaxing.

This is an excellent organisation. The time from referral to the operation is minimal (less than two weeks). I was quite apprehensive but everything is very straightforward, all the staff are extremely pleasant and the procedure itself is painless. The following day I phoned to ask for clarification of an aftercare instruction and the phone was answered immediately. Such efficiency and professionalism are rare these days. I have no hesitation in recommending SpaMedica.

Had cataract surgery on my left eye. First, a thorough assessment only a few days after m.y referral, then offered the procedure the next day. Couldn't accept that but had the job done only three days after that. Brilliant service, caring surgeon and cheerful, knowledgable staff. Couldn't really have been better. Moreover, no problems at all afterwards and it's two weeks and a day since the surgery. Can't wait for the other eye doing!
