From referral to operation, everything has been excellent. All of the staff were friendly & efficient ensuring everything was explained and I was put at ease. The welcome when I got out of the car not knowing quite where to go was a nice touch & put me at ease. I was offered drinks whilst waiting. The surgeon was very nice & the cataract surgery went well, painless & over quicker than I'd anticipated. The whole place was spotless & very professional and everyone was kind & friendly. I would definitely recommend, well done to everyone.

I was treated with care and attention on arrival, with a coffee and a smile which continued all the way through my treatment. My procedure was dealt with swiftly and very professionally all the way through, I can’t speak highly enough of all the staff at Solihull. Everything was explained to me at each stage of the procedure.

I attended the clinic twice. Firstly for a cataract removal assessment and then about a week later for cataract surgery. From the moment you arrive at the car park you are looked after. Good coffee and biscuits! Staff are pleasant and efficient. Bit of hanging around between departments and irritating waits at times but they are busy. Efficient professional service

Welcomed with a warm drink. After a short wait I was seen by a nurse who explained the procedure and put drops in eye which was to be operated on. After a longer wait was sent to pre op room and more drops then straight into theatre. After a painless 20 minutes it was all over. A satisfying experience. I await the operation on the other eye.

I have just had my second phacoemulsification and intra-ocular lens implant to treat my cataracts and I cannot praise Spamedica at Blyth Valley enough. Both procedures were carried out with little discomfort in a most caring, and professional manner. I was kept informed both before and during the procedure and every effort was made to re-assure me over what had sounded a daunting exercise. There were nice little touches such as staff to help me arrive and depart, complimentary drinks and even a free ball-point pen to take home! I had had to postpone my second procedure due to lingering cold symptoms and even though the operation was scheduled for a Monday, I was able to speak to a helpful and understanding girl on the preceding Sunday, who willingly found a new slot, convenient to us both. The first eye, operated on some two months ago has completely recovered. The second operation was only yesterday, but the eye is recovering quickly with only slight bruising to be felt. The improvement to my sight is astounding and even better than I was hoping for. I am encouraging anyone who is contemplating the operation to have it, if offered. The entire team at Spamedica Solihull has done a simply excellent job.

Six weeks ago I had my first cataract surgery, last week my other eye was corrected. This latest procedure was performed to the same high level as the first - my first review graded this as exemplary so this excellent performance has been repeated. I see this as evidence of professionalism and dedication by all involved: thank you.

A great service. I was referred by Opticians to SpaMedica & I was contacted by them within 4 days of the referral. From the man meeting you at the door by the car park there was nothing but smiling faces & kind courteous but very efficient staff. I can’t recommend this place enough. 2 cataract operated on at a time that suited me. Post op check after each eye was 4 weeks. Everything was so good. Thank you to every member of staff.

Cataract surgery completed on both eyes within months at this practice. Outstanding service provided from the initial phone calls to the call centre to the welcome from the team at reception, which is continued throughout the team Pre & Post Operation. The staff are friendly, kind and professional in what they do. I never experienced or noticed any lack of care or disorganisation as you would expect in an NHS hospital. This is a prime example of how the NHS should be running! The Government should open more NHS centres like this for minor surgery on all issues.

I was referred to Spa Medica by Vision Express. Cataract in both eyes, First eye has been operated on within 2 weeks. Everyone was very friendly and very efficient. I can now see 🥳
