Simply…Proffessional, efficient, informative, kind,caring, thoughtful and spotlessly clean. Each member of staff introduced themselves and made me feel they were concentrating on me alone. I was made to feel comfortable and at ease, as this was a new experience for me and my husband was looked after as he waited, with offers of drinks. Most important, it was a job well done.

I had my cataract on my right eye removed on December 3rd.Can not praise the staff enough.They we’re all so caring and put me at ease as I was very nervous.They explained what was happening and answered my questions.The operation itself took about 10 minutes with no pain what so ever. The result was amazing I’m no longer looking through thick fog anymore. Colours are bright and could see as I walked out the clinic. Thank you so much to all the amazing staff at Poole Spa medics. Will be back for the left eye when the time comes.

I had my pre-op assessment on 10/11/22 and was offered the op on the 14/11/22 but I opted to have it on 17/10 instead. All staff and nurses were lovely and put me at ease. The op took about 15 minutes and after a cup of coffee I was on my way home. The following morning having removed the shield I thought I had a new TV as the colours were so vibrant and clear and I can now read the newspaper! I can’t wait to get my other eye done. Thank you so much SpaMedica.

This was exactly what I needed and it was executed with competence and care by staff who clearly know exactly what they are doing. On the Wednesday I attended an assessment at which it was determined that the lens of my right eye was in need of replacement. To my amazement I received a call on the Thursday evening offering me a cancellation for the Saturday. I accepted and made sure I was there on time. The whole process went completely smoothly. At every step my name, date of birth, and which eye was to be done was confirmed. The operation was without pain or even discomfort and took about 10 minutes. After the operation the measures of post-operative care that I must follow were explained. I felt fully supported throughout. The post-operative care was easy to follow and I have now completed the 14 day regime of eye drops. I shall continue to follow the other measures of post-operative care until I am discharged at my assessment in two weeks time or beyond. Thank you to everyone. I just love the clarity of my vision. I can look across the bay and see the detail of Portland and the sea front at Weymouth. I can look at the moon and see its sharp crescent. As I drive out over Southdown car park I can see Hardye's monument. And I can read a car's number plate at 20 metres without difficulty. (I was careful to check this using a 30 metre surveying tape and to my delight was able to read the number at the full 30 metres.)

I had my assessment in October and my first cataract op on the 29th November, so very short wait time. On the day of the op I was a tad nervous but all staff put me at my ease before, during and after the op. Very good after care, good explanations on what to do at home. Very clean in all areas Looking forward to my next one to be done Thank you

It was the second cataract operation I had at this clinic this year and the staff were very friendly and helpful which made an experience which I was extremely nervous about much less traumatic for me.
