I was referred by my optician to SpaMedica with bilateral cataracts and within 2 weeks I had an assessment with my first eye operated upon 3 weeks later and them my second eye about four weeks after that. Indeed they were flexible changing my first date as I had a commitment. So no waiting list at all which came as a pleasant surprise. On all occasions staff acted professionally and in a timely manner keeping to their time estimates. Staff good at putting me at my ease as of course I was apprehensive about anybody fiddling with my eyes! Very important for me so not to disrupt my business as I am self-employed. The operation was uncomfortable of course but no pain as such. I recovered on both occasions within 48 hours with fantastic results. Now waiting to get new glasses. This is without doubt the best healthcare I have ever received and I cannot recommend the team at SpaMedica high enough.

I have had two cataracts removed at spa medica Epsom. The first procedure on 4/3/2024, the service and treatment were exemplary. The second experience 6/4/2024 was good in all aspects apart from in theatre. The surgeon and another member of staff had a conversation throughout my procedure about various friends and colleagues. As a patient it was disconcerting and felt as if I was not the focus of attention. I am aware that the surgeon has no doubt carried out this procedure countless times, but for me it was an individual experience and I would have like to have felt I had his full concentration, which was not the case.

From the moment of arrival and departure the greeting and care was wonderful. Cataract surgery is daunting and procedure and after care is explained very clearly. All staff at Epsom SpaMedica are caring.

I could not read the top line of my optician's chart so he referred me to SpaMedica, Epsom. I have had both eyes operated on and can see clearly now. I have the highest praise for the entire staff who looked after me and am extremely grateful to all. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

I have had both cataracts done at the Spamedica Clinic..couldn’t fault them..from the moment you ring the intercom to enter until the moment you are escorted off the premises you are treated amazingly well , respected, listened to.Staff are very caring and courteous .Minimal waiting time,painless procedure,refreshments provided .ln all a very good service…5 Star !

I had cataracts in both eyes removed in Jan-Feb 2024. I was apprehensive about the nature of the surgery but I needn’t have worried. The treatment was excellent from initial consultation through to being signed off yesterday. I didn’t feel a thing during surgery and the results were excellent. After 60 years of wearing glasses, I now only need them for reading. The staff were uniformly polite and caring and the premises spotless. I wholeheartedly recommend this SpaMedica practice. Thank you and the NHS.

Being apprensive about having my cataract surgery proved unfounded,from the first visit the staff are incredible from the booking in to the nurses and surgeon, an unbelievable service, wonderful people top to bottom, even down to the day I had it done giving me a birthday card as the day of surgery was my birthday, on a scale of 1-to 10 I would give them 20! Just sheer class
