My father went for an assessment Wednesday, offered surgery Thursday morning at 8.20. Excellent service all round. Very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend

It was a pleasurable experience right from walking through the door. Helpful staff to greet and explain. Very impressed with the ophthalmologist dr who phoned Kingston Eye Hospital for an urgent referral on an eye issue that had shown up in the tests. Referral was organised for the following day. Now had one cataract surgery completed and the whole experience was friendly and efficient.

From the time of arrival you are greeted by a “concierge” who authorised the car parking during the appointments who then escorts you to the relevant waiting area. Even asking if you would like a coffee. On the initial appointment you go through a number of processes finally ending up the Optometrist. The appointment for the surgery in my case was one week after the initial appointment. The actual operation involved going through two pre op processes. The actual operation was carried out in no more than 15 minutes. The only thing that surprised me was the brightness of the light shined in your operated eye. The final part was to see another nurse who issued the drops which I am required to take. Follow up is with my own Optometrist who initially referred me in 4 weeks. Yes than 3 weeks since my Optician appointment where I was originally referred. Excellent care and exactly how the NHS should work.

I have arrived for my 2 Cateract Surgery. Greated by the Concierge who sorted out our parking. Everywhere was so clean and tidy. All the staff were professional and friendly. The surgeon explained everything. I could not fault anything. My result for this hospital and staff is 10 out of 10. I would definitely recommend

From the staff who attended to me from the main door /reception/nurses and of course the surgeon all were fantastic. Make me feel comfortable and they were very caring. I have no words to thank them all. They are amazing.

From referral by optician to pre-op assessment and first cataract op took less than 4 weeks. I was amazed and heartened by the level of care given from arrival to discharge. Met at the door on arrival, escorted to the waiting room and offered beverages. I was kept informed at every stage the process of the procedure by all each member of staff that dealt with me, who were friendly and told me their name and what their involvement would be. I felt truly reassured at all times and could not believe when the surgeon said the procedure was complete as I had only been on the table about 10 minutes. On discharge, everything was explained to me in detail how to keep my eye protected from infection. The only discomfort I have had was during the first 24 hours where my eye felt a bit gritty. All in all I have nothing but praise for all concerned and I can’t wait to have my other cataract removed as the improvement in my eyesight is truly amazing. Having required spectacles since I was 5 years old and subsequently contact lenses the difference is phenomenal. Thank you for such superb treatment.

A really good experience - excellent staff that addressed any questions and made me feel welcome and valued. My treatment for cataracts in both eyes was carried out effectively with the minimum discomfort.
