From receipt of referral to pre-op assessment for cataract surgery - three days; it could have been two, but I couldn't make the first appointment offered. Surgery date just one week later. How's that for service! On both occasions, you know that you're in a quality setup. Literally guided by the welcoming, friendly, but very professional, staff, who exude a calm reassurance. The pre-op assessment was very thorough, with explanations and any questions clearly answered. The surgery was painless, with explanations of what was taking place, and frequent checks on comfort. Post-op care, explained verbally and reinforced with a clear and step- by-step booklet, wipes and eye drops to aid recovery. Finally, must mention the high quality and extremely clean physical environment of the hospital itself. Outcome - a very satisfied and very grateful service user enjoying a return to clear and precise vision. Congratulations to everyone involved, and sincere thanks.

Had a cataract done everybody so kind and efficient nothing too much trouble and went like clockwork cant fault them

you enter feeling nervous but are greeted on arrival and treated with care throughout. The whole team are professional, caring and communicate with you all the time keeping you at ease. would highly recommend them to anyone. Thankyou to all who cared for me during the operation for cataract removal.

nervous ? no need to be ……. lovely practitioners to look after you ….. warm and caring and professional …….. painful ? Not at all …….everything explained in detail and any questions you have are answered………. The whole experience at spamedica bolton was first class and thanks to all staff involved.

Arrived on time got seen to quite quickly , lovely friendly staff who explain everything they are doing, once in theatre they make you at ease and the surgery was painless , everything was explained as they went through the procedure, and ask if your ok , then the aftercare nurse explains what you need to do & how to use your drops , and after care for your eye.

I had the cataract surgery on my right eye on the 22nd of June, my very good friend removed the plastic eye shield the following morning as the micropore tape was well and truly stuck lol. Immediately I had crystal clear vision, it is absolutely wonderful. The first thing that I noticed was how pure the light was and the colour white. All the staff were absolutely wonderful, so reassuring. I was absolutely petrified of having the surgery, it was all over between 10/15 minutes that included the preparation. Thank you all so much, I'll still be nervous having the left eye done I know what to expect now though.
