My cataract surgery appointment set for 9.20 am on 9th January. Unfortunately this was delayed due to the surgeon being unable to reach the clinic due to a significant traffic accident which caused huge delays pretty well across the county. The reception staff rose admirably to the circumstances continuing to provide refreshments and update information when it was available. Finally at about 1 .40 surgeon arrived and the show got on the road. A very slick catch up process began and despite being,I think, seventh in the queue I had my procedure and discharge consultation to be off the premises by 3.30 Once again the reception staff stepped up and assisted in the revised transport arrangements the delay had caused me to make. Despite the unavoidable events along the way - thanks and congratulations to all involved and for saving the day. By the way, the improvement in my vision with only one eye ‘done’ is truly remarkable.

My husband had his second cataract operation in December. It has made such a difference to him he can now read the description on the TV regarding the programmes. Bexhill clinic was very reassuring and made him feel like a person and not a number. Can highly recommend Bexhill clinic.

Having been somewhat apprehensive over cataract surgery from the moment we entered the clinic we were greeted by friendly and welcoming staff. The whole procedure was explained in detail and every clinician was very professional and pleasant.

My Optician recommended cataract removal in November. 2 weeks later I had an assessment at Bexhill and 2 weeks after that an appointment for surgery. This was canceled due to illness but was rescheduled and surgery was successfully carried out after a further two weeks, just before Christmas. I cannot recommend them highly enough, everyone from reception to surgery, to discharge was a pleasure to meet.

I was very nervous about having my Cataract Operation but the care and attention of all the Staff at the SpaMedica Bexhill was exceptional. I have now had both eyes operated on and can only praise the efficient and smooth running of SpaMedica, Bexhill. I would certainly recommend to all my family and friends. Thank you very much.

A real gem, Spa Medica is an example of how it should be done. The staff on reception are so helpful, patient and so kind. The clinic staff do their best to make sure everything is explained and give reassurance. I’m so grateful for them looking after my mum so well, even in the after care they gave.
