I visited the Urology 1 stop clinic today and was throughly impressed. Friendly, professional and efficient staff, rapid processing and kind and caring testing. The Consultant Urologist was fantastic, clear and reassuring. Impressed, thank you.

Great Help from a woman at Reception B in the ultrasound department. After missing my appointment due to travel issues, she was very understanding and rescheduled my appointment to a nearer hospital. She is honestly such a gem and made my day!

Review titled Inefficient and unfriendly receptionist
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 16 May 2024
I arrived a bit early for my ENT appointment in suite 1 on thur 16 may and checked into my appointment which was scheduled for 2.30pm. After nearly an hour wait I asked the receptionist how much longer the wait would be as ai bad left my daughter with my mum and had to leave soon. He said it was running late and I had to wait. I asked if he had checked me in and he said yes I had to just wait no way to check etc I asked him again half an hour later if he cojld let me know how much longer I had to wait as others were all getting called before me he said Abruptly I had to Just wait and I could cancel my appointment and leave now if I wanted. After the lady who’s appointment was an hour after mines name was called I asked the person who came to get her and she said she would check, she came back and told me I hadn’t been checked in. My appointment lasted one minute, on leaving I told the receptionist the dr told me I wasnt checked in and he said rudely that he did check me in and did not apologize for his mistake or the unnecessary two hour wait. Terrible inefficient and rude service!!

Review titled What NHS departments should strive to be like - Amazing
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Heidi Tong - Posted on 07 December 2023
I cannot begin to say what a great service this was. From start to finish. Great friendly team, quick service, quick outcome. There are not enough words to say how lucky I am to have such a great service. This helps a&e for the non serious issues and the appointment system, which they meet timing wise, is just great. In and out even with an x-ray included. Whoever came up with this process/system deserves a raise. As do the team who work there. 10 out of 10. Thank you to the team.

Review titled Saved my sanity
Rated 5 stars out of 5

After a phonecall to 111, I was advised to go to St Georges Emergency Department so at 8.45pm I arrived there. Was given a ID bracelet and that was it. 1.30 the following morning I was still waiting and was told that I probably won't be seen in that unit as they close at 2am and we would all need to go to A &E and wait again. The receptionist advised to ring Queen Mary's at 8am and book an appointment. I did call and got an appointment for that morning. Because of tiredness, stress of my injury and sitting in Emergency Department seeing some horrible sights, I ended up in tears talking the receptionist but she was so lovely and patient and reassuring with me and put me at ease. From arriving at the Enhanced Community Hub to having treatment and leaving was 45 minutes. Such lovely staff with great communication. Made such a change from my night/ morning experience at St Georges. I really want to say a big thank you and please continue to be happy and cheerful, it makes such a difference to an already stressed patient like me!

A big Thank You to reception and nursing staff at the Minor Injuries Unit! I was not very ambulate or comfortable on arrival this morning and in short order, was triaged, booked in, cleaned up, sewn up and on my way again. That is really good care and very much appreciated.

Review titled Excellent Service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Alison Ledgerwood - Posted on 21 December 2022
I had a small procedure done at The Surgical Treatment Centre today and wanted to say how excellent the service was. Everybody, from the man on reception, the nurse who checked me in, the doctor and nurses in the operating room to the nurse in the recovery room, was charming, delightful, professional and very kind. I would expect them to be professional but I just wanted to say how exceptionally kind everyone was. Thank you.

Review titled Terrible reception team!!!
Rated 1 star out of 5

Today, 28 November 2022, I’ve called the Ophthalmology, Queen Mary’s Hospital Roehampton Lane, to query about my referral to Kingston University Hospital. I have asked the receptionist for a follow up from my previous appointment. She informed the referral was done. I’ve asked if I could have the name of the doctor who referred me. She denied, I’ve asked to speak to another member of staff or a supervisor. Surprisingly, she said ‘it doesn’t work like that, this is NHS’. I’ve replied: ‘Excuse me!’ and asked her name, she put the phone down.
