I attended as a walk-in to have my urine tested following uti. I was seen immediately by a lovely nurse who explained the results and what to do next. The receptionist was also helpful and welcoming.

Dear relative of patient, Thank you for taking the time to provide this positive feedback about the service and the team at the Oadby Urgent Treatment Centre following your recent experience when your father was unwell. I am pleased to hear that your experience was a good one. We always endeavor to provide a high level of quality, safe, professional, timely and compassionate care and are always pleased when patients and their families take the time to let us know how we did. It is pleasing when we receive reports about staff to thank them for their input and this often proves to be very motivational for our staff. I will share your comments/feedback with the team at the Urgent Treatment Centre. I trust your father is now on the road to recovery, and I wish you both all the best for the future. Best wishes, Judith Brown Patient Engagement, Experience & Inclusion Lead and AIS Champion (DHU Health Care)

  5. Review titled Excellent service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I visited in the evening of the 20th December, suffering with extreme pain in my right abdomen, and was seen within fifteen minutes by a very caring doctor. He asked a few questions, examined me and said he would prescribe painkillers but would also try to get me a bed. He made a phone call requesting this, and sent me to A and E, but saying that I would receive a phone call soon. Half an hour later sure enough I received a call saying there was a bed for me at a local hospital, and my husband drove me straight there. I was scanned, diagnosed with inflamed gall bladder and was in hospital for two days, sent home with antibiotics and painkillers, and assured I would return in 1-2 months to have it removed when the inflammation has gone down. I cannot recommend the urgent care centre enough, and although I mustn't name names on here I hope the lovely doctor who helped me on the evening of the 20th December gets to receive my grateful thanks. I wish he was my GP.

Attended the walk in clinic today on advice from my GP as we couldn’t get an appointment for my one year old. On arrival I was told they weren’t seeing walk ins and it was appointment my own. Useless.

Dear parent, Apologies for the delay in responding. However, thank you for taking the time and for providing your honest feedback regarding your recent experience with us at the Oadby Urgent Care Centre which is appreciated. I am the Patient Experience & DEI Lead and AIS Champion for DHU Healthcare, and I am disappointed to hear that your experience with us was not positive on this occasion specifically in relation to service access issues to enable your poorly child to be seen. If you would like to contact us directly regarding your experience then we could investigate your concerns in more detail to better understand and learn how we can do better in the future then please do not hesitate to contact our Urgent and Emergency Care Clinical Governance Team on 0300 1000 407 (should you get the answerphone message then please leave your name and contact details and a member of the team will call you back within office hours – Mon-Fri, 0900-1700) or via email at dhuurgentcare.clinicalgovernance@nhs.net. The team will then be able to take more details from you so that they can investigate why this has happened, and they will investigate your concerns further and feedback and as I say can help us to better understand and aid us in learning how we can do better to stop anyone else having a poor experience in the future as you have clearly had on this occasion. In the meantime, I will share your comments/feedback with our Senior Management team who are responsible for Oadby Urgent Care Centre. I do hope that your child has now received any care and treatment they required, and they are now feeling better. Best wishes, Judith Brown Patient Experience & EDI Lead and AIS Champion (DHU Healthcare CIC)
