    The receptionist are not flexible, they claim to be following procedure. This morning l was asking for prescription because l’d been to a pharmacy & they advised what l needed but had to get prescription which they are unable to issue. Called the doctors, the receptionist explained they had no appointments & l explained that the pharmacist had advised what l need, so if the doctor could issue a prescription for me. I was told it doesn’t work like that, she was sending me a link to complete tomorrow at 7am so that the doctor can either see me or give me a call - I guess after that the doctor issues the prescription. The pharmacist can’t issue a prescription & l can’t get the doctor to issue a prescription for me collect or get someone to collect on my behalf. Tomorrow l’ll complete the link at 7pm for the call/appointment and then set off for work, get a call from the doctor to say he’ll see me slap-bang in the middle of a working day, which means l’ve got to leave work (depending on what time they give) to pick up a prescription & then go back to work. As much as the so-called procedure is not fit for purpose, the receptionist was wrong to put the phone down on me instead of making me understand the procedure. I was not rude or disrespectful, l listened to her talking about the link & procedure and at the end she said can’t do anything ’bye’ & put the phone down. Please allow pharmacist to issue prescriptions. Its the uncertainty of the appointments especially if you’ve got to travel to & from work. Considerations of various circumstances would be appreciated!
