I feel extremely lucky to have had both cataracts replaced. The nursing staff and consultant surgeon were superb. Great balance between professionalism and friendly chat before and after operation. The procedure was extremely quick and reassuring. The speed with which I was given appointments following optician referral was incredible. Thank you so much.

My experience of cataract surgery was excellent. The care and attention given by staff was exceptional. They explained what was happening every step of the way and made me feel at relaxed and ease. My appointment lasted no longer than an hour. I would highly recommend New Medica to anyone needing cataract surgery.

They were all lovely, explained everything and asked if I had any questions, fantastic you go in and lovely asked to help yourself to tea or coffee coffee they put you at ease

Following initial my assessment appointment I was given a date for my cataract surgery a few days later. I was welcomed on arrival and the nurse having checked my details and started preparing my for the procedure. She explained what was to happen, ensuring I fully understood and answering any questions. She was throughout pleasant and reassuring. The surgeon introduced himself, again checking I fully understood what would happen and i was to proceed. Then when nurse took me through to the Operation theatre the surgeon introduced the other 2 members of his surgery team. The Op then started with the surgeon talking me through each stage as it took place. It was far better than I anticipated, I felt no discomfort and it was over in a surprisingly short time. Having thanked the surgical staff, the nurse took me to another room, to have short sit down and watch a video of what to expect next and how to care best for my eye following the procedure. I was able to leave shortly after, having found the whole experience for easier and pleasant than I could have imagined. If I ever need a cataract Op on my other eye, I would definitely choose Newmedica and would recommend them to family and friends.

Excellent facility & great staff. They really make you feel more relaxed with the entire experience. All stages were explained to me & made sure I was happy all the way through. Highly recommend!

Welcoming, professional staff and a comfortable, reassuring environment. I have been kept fully informed by letter and 'phone throughout. Second eye now treated and vision improving daily, thank you.
