I received a call back from I-Heart after speaking to 111 regarding my 9 month old daughter after she vomited and developed a fever on 9th July. The receptionist was lovely and advised they recommended bringing my daughter in to see a Dr as soon as possible, and warned me there may be a little bit of a wait. There was a bit of a wait but nothing major. The Dr who examined my daughter was great and advised normally with a temperature of 39 they would advise to go to a&E but as Calpol appeared to be bring the fever down we could just monitor if we preferred. We decided to go through to A&E anyways to be safe, and as we were getting our daughters coat on in the waiting room she vomited again (after a dose of calpol). The receptionist again was fantastic and got us some towels to clean up my daughter and the floor then went to inform the Dr. Dr said now to definitely take her through. I cannot thank the Dr and Receptionist enough as I would have worried all night. My daughter was checked over at hospital and thankfully it is viral and not something more serious. If possible please thank the receptionist that was working that night for me.

  2. Review titled Unable to access

I have been advised by my GP surgery to call iHeart because the surgery cannot give me an appt. Tried to call iHeart but just get message that all operators are busy and to call 111 if urgent. What about if not urgent but you still want advice and treatment for a medical issue ? If I can't get to see someone at GP and can't get through to iHeart, where should I go with an increasingly worrying, though not seemingly urgent, issue ? How do I know it isn't something that's becoming more serious and urgent as time goes on ? Not especially helpful referring to a service that cannot help. Edit...Been asked to complete 5 multiple choice questions, all of which assume I actually managed to visit an iHeart clinic. Perhaps a "not applicable because not been able to access clinic appt" option would be good. Have had to answer all of those questions with the middle option, which is not really applicable.
