  1. Review titled The best of help when we needed it

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Im writing on behalf of my son who has been a patient with Folly Hall for almost a year. As a family we just want to say thank you for the medical treatment and holistic care we have received. All of the Folly Hall team have been brilliant, particularly the nurses that work with us.

  2. Review titled Disappointing

Been under services for 15 years. Was discharged for 12 months. Doctor re referred me got a call from a nurse who was unsympathetic didn’t listen to me when I told her my mental health was deteriorating and why. Ended up telling her not to bother. Sheer waste of time. They seem to just be talking from a script. So what do we do. Just carry on and suffer because there’s no support at all

  3. Review titled There is no support from this team

Rated 1 star out of 5

I have been with mental health services since a teen and started with folly hall mental health services around 21, I am now 31. I saw a member of the team until covid, when without warning, it abruptly stopped. My latest diagnosis was OCD and I suffer with very negative, intrusive thoughts. Unfortunately, lately they have become debilitating and I am unable to carry out daily tasks due to the thoughts of harming myself. I got in touch with my GP as I was unable to speak to anyone on the team last month. My GP rung the team to express his concern for my wellbeing and asking for a nurse to be in touch. He also explained to the woman on the phone that I shouldn't have been left on my dose of medication without regular reviews (I haven't had a review since covid) No one got In touch. I once again rung Folly Hall but they told me I had to refer myself again and gave me a number to call. After speaking to someone briefly they informed me a nurse would be in touch. I explained to the nurse about the strong thoughts I was having about harming myself and explained how I was unable to leave the house on my own or prepare anything in the oven due to these thoughts. She was very dismissive and her lack of empathy shocked me. She then told me "well, you sound OK on the phone so I don't think this is too urgent". She then went on to say that someone "may be" in touch in a few weeks. At the time I was extremely emotional and just assumed they would help. I have been told for many years that I must ring when I feel this way. However, I have sought help and been made to feel like an overreacting burden. I will now refuse all and any help from Folly Hall in the future as I feel they are unfit. My family and friends are also aware of everything that has gone been said and are utterly disgusted with the lack of support available to a mother begging for help.

  4. Review titled Disgraceful

Rated 1 star out of 5

After phoning 111 who were absolutely brilliant, the lady asked me to call the SPA team. I wish I never had! I was belittled on the phone and when I asked if the call was recorded the phone was slammed down on me! You are not allowed to question these people otherwise the call will be terminated! I ended up in hospital after the call. I thought CPN,S were supposed to try and keep you out of hospital, not put you in one! The calls should be recorded so that people should know how they talk to vulnerable people.
