Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Alan Edge - Posted on 10 August 2024

Today 10/08/2024 I attended A&E with a badly cut knee following a fall and was sent to UTC, there I was dealt with extremely quickly and with amazing care and attention and couldn’t praise them any more. I would like to give special thanks to the nurse who did my stitches and cleaned my wound up, she was extremely professional and caring and really looked after me. Once again thank you very much for for your care and kindness it was very much appreciated.

  2. Review titled Quality service from professional staff.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anthony Smyth - Posted on 07 June 2024

Last Monday 3rd June 2024 I fell and badly injured my left eyebrow. A friend of mine rang for the Paramedics to attend me to ascertain whether I needed to attend hospital. The service I got from the two (A Gentleman and a Lady) who attended was of the highest, they checked me over and then due to the fact I take a blood thinner tablet they took me to the hospital. I cannot praise them high enough. Courteous and Friendly. On arriving at the hospital they quickly got me to the waiting room. After waiting to be attended by a senior nurse I was treated very well by several other nurses and porters, all who went out of their way to help me. When eventually I was dealt with by this Senior Nurse (I cannot thank him enough). He gave me a thorough check over organised a CT Scan and made me feel totally at ease. He was exceptional and I wish to place on record my thanks to him. As for his kindness he eased my fears that I had. Thank you. It is a credit to the Trust for employing staff of the highest quality. I am on the road to recovery due to the kindness and sincerity of many people who despite being extremely busy were able to treat this 88 year man. Thank you for all your kindness.

  3. Review titled Disgusting treatment

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Marie Butler - Posted on 05 February 2024

I attended hospital to rule out cancer of the uterus and was sent for an ultra sound scan, all went great up until I got into the room! The lady introduced herself and the name of a male and said “we will be doing the scan today” the male proceeded to insert the probe and was looking at the screen, the female then proceeded to say things like “don’t move it too fast it will go off and you will have to start measuring again” and “show me where the ovaries are” alongside other interruptions, she then put her hands over his hands to guide him to where he should have the camera!!! It was then I realised he must have been a trainee. I was never asked if I was happy for a trainee to even be present never mind do the procedure. When I asked “is this normal, should it take this long?” The lady said yes nearly done now and took over. I was so distressed when I left that when I got back to women’s health care for the remainder of my treatment I broke down! Women’s health care were 100% with everything they did and I would like to thank them.

  4. Review titled Dismissive Doctor

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 30 May 2023

My experience with a Doctor was apalling. The doctor was not interested in explaining the procedure and involving the patient on what she wanted to do. For a sensitive department and role, compassion and patience is required in your daily iob

  5. Review titled Amazing staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Kelly Hepburn - Posted on 19 April 2023

After recently spending 8 days in hospital I can’t not fault or thank all the members of staff on m1/m6 enough for everything they did for me while I was there. Every Nurse, Student Nurse, Health Care Assistants, Domestic even the Bank staff they literally went above and beyond not only for me but for the other patients that were in the same bay as me. We are so lucky to have the nhs and free access to health care, I don’t think the staff get enough appreciation or gratitude for what they do. m1/m6 staff you are all amazing thank you for looking after me like you did!!
