Review titled Bad booking experience, booking person lying
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Ioan Laurentiu Urs - Posted on 05 July 2024
Very disappointed about the fact that I have an appointment made as Urgent by the doctor, from the perspective of the booking young lady was fine to cancel my booking few time less than a week before, and keep calling to rearrange. Last time I didn't agree to cancel my booking and switch of the phone. I received last week on the 29June a text that I missed my appountment( what was my previous booking, before cancellation call) and today 5 July again a call that I am aspected and Not attending. I've explains the lady from the surgery unite the story that I didn't agree to a new date and booking. A bit later I received a call from the booking lady who was very patronising and state that I agree the booking over the phone with her. I explain that I didn't and stop the call, and she agree to that but stating that she left a voice mail? I explain that I didn't listen to my voice mail and didn't receive and correspondence. So I've ask her why she is lying to my face, stating that in fact I agree ? When she hear that she switch the call on me...So like an evidence that was in fact lying is the phone call from today with me, as I presume that the phone calls are recorded for training and monitoring purposes, training what exactly she needs on customer service ... So very disappointed that over 1 year of pain my small surgery was not made because a booking lady was arrogant and patronising, not knowing how to deal with a delicate situation. Not to mention that I have other medical problems what I have to cancel because of all this cancellation from St.Peters booking department, as they look like have no clue of what are doing.

Review titled Kind caring doctors and staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Sue Sweeney - Posted on 23 February 2024
I attended the urgent transfer centre 3 times towards the end of January. Each time I was thankful for the way I was treated with respect and kindness by all. The doctors I saw on the 24th, 28th and 31st helped me on each occasion and gave me excellent advice on coping with my nosebleeds. The navigation nurse on the last occasion was kindness herself and had me swiftly moved to a cubicle. This is a wonderful department where the staff give their all, despite being extremely busy. Thank you everyone who helped me.

Review titled Excellent Care at A&E
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by John Reynolds - Posted on 29 November 2023
I was referred to A&E by 111 on 27th November. (I had earlier attended the GP surgery to try and get an emergency appointment) I would like to thank all the medical staff (on both shifts) in A&E and the Pit Stop ward. The service was under extreme pressure but everybody gave a high level or care and support at all time. It says a lot for their professionalism and dedication that this was maintained, even by those that has been on duty for over 12 hours. I was kept informed at all times and felt that I was in good hands. I was also reassured that all required tests and assessments were made. When I was discharged the doctor gave me an excellent explanation of the diagnosis and the follow up treatment that was being arranged. It is hard to appreciate the pressure on A&E without experiencing it. The waiting time was 4 hours when I arrived (although I was fast tracked) and it increased to over 8 hours before I left early the following morning. There was nothing the staff could do to alleviate the situation given the numbers seeking treatment. Can you please pass on my heartfelt thanks for the excellent service I received under very challenging conditions. (It is unfortunate that I can not highlight the special care given by individuals.) My wife was with me and she also wishes to thank all the staff for the kindness shown to her.

Review titled Horribly rude staff!
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 01 September 2023
Would not recommend this unit, staff are rude and clearly don’t want to work. I had to rush from London to get to my appointment on the day of a strike for blood tests. The phlebotomist told me three times how extremely late I was (15min) and I ended up not even having my bloods drawn.

Review titled Dire and most unprofessional nurses
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 27 March 2023
The nurses in the ashford walk in centre are as negligent as they come. They talk about you and your situation loudly in the corridor to each other, not knowing that the walls are thin and every word can be heard. Other nurses intervene with the nurse you’re seeing, to refrain on doing certain things “no you cant send them there”! A nurse refers to you to another nurse by “give them the appointment and send them away”. Fobbed off from one department of the NHS to another. Duty of care has gone! If you want minimal treatment be ready to go private in future!

Review titled Wonderful NHS
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Hayley Lynch - Posted on 02 January 2023
When my 4 year old injured her elbow we feared a trip to A & E. from the nurse waiting at the entrance to the triage nurse, porter and X-ray nurse - I can not thank everyone enough. The department was heaving but the level of care and attention was amazing. The patience and empathy needed to dedicate a career to caring for others is so immense, thank you doesn’t seem enough. I hope we can do better and recognise the vital work happening day in day out. Thank you x

Review titled Terrible experience
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 13 January 2023
Terrible service I've ever seen in the world. They said waiting time 4hr. After 4hr later when I ask them they said it's going up now 5hr. Ridiculous. Specially in uk we don't expect this service at all. This is an emergency hospital. Obviously people came here for an emergency but because of their service nobody will call ambulance or come here for emergency. Basically there is no emergency service in England. Hate this. Here we can see people sleeping on the floor. I mean really? Management should take action about it otherwise people will die for not getting treatment on time.

by jim murray - Posted on 12 November 2022
I had an appointment for an ultrasound scan and I was nervous had an appointment 7.30 changed on day to 7 pm got there at 7.00 pm as I had a late appointment the Hospital was empty great for me, when I arrived a happy nurse showed me into a room where I was greeted by the sonographer who explained what he was going to do he then asked me to hop on the bed and lift up my top checking I was OK, then the smiling nurse put paper towel on my tummy and then the sonographer put gel on to my tummy, he went up and down couple times and near my side it wasn't painful at all, then he said when your ready you can go, got up looked at my phone said 7.05, brilliant no waiting in and out way to go NHS late appointments are a great way to go
